ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the credibility of school and college textbooks in the U.S. Some textbooks are evaluated in professional journals or teachers' magazines. Aside from these journals, textbook reviews can also be obtained through America's Future Inc. This organization has a Textbook Evaluation Committee which prepared a number of textbook reviews. Furthermore, the organization also publishes some special reports. Another reliable organization is the Ethics and Public Policy Center at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. This organization specializes on lengthier studies.
