ABSTRACT
This article focuses on political developments in the world, with emphasis on political conditions in the U.S. It presents views of Attorney General Griffin Bell on school busing in the U.S. It is stated that in his estimation the Justices effectively altered the busing corpus when they vacated the order of a federal appeals court that the Austin, Texas, school system subject itself to a massive desegregation scheme. It is reported that the Roman Catholic bishops of Pa Nang and Nha Trang have recently been arrested, emulating their Khmer Rouge brethren, Vietnam's Communists have banished some 600,000 to a million Saigon residents to new economic zones. It discusses inconsistency of the U.S. foreign policy for the white-dominated government of Rhodesia.
