ABSTRACT
The article points out that salesmen personify what is right and what is wrong with capitalism such as initiative, energy, humiliation and stress . A conversation with a purchasing agent during the Mid-Atlantic Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Exposition is presented. Salesmen can be considered as heralds between one sovereign state of commerce and that of another.
