ABSTRACT
The article examines the political implications of the actions taken by Polish workers against the totalitarian state in which the Communist Party claims to rule in the name of the working class in 1980. The victory gained by the Polish workers against the Communist Party reflects the weakness of the party in the country. It explores the new methods of resistance to the totalitarian state that emerge from the country.
