ABSTRACT
The article reports on the comments of Ben Wattenberg, chairman of the Coalition for a Democratic Majority in a recent article titled "Its Time to Stop America's Retreat," in the "New York Times Magazine." He focused on the problems surrounding U. S. national defense and its background including its relations with other countries. He resents the move of government leaders in abandoning traditional principles of foreign policy.
