Bonner's World

July 1982
National Review;7/9/1982, Vol. 34 Issue 13, p811
The article focuses on the life and works of Raymond Bonner, correspondent of the newspaper "The Times," in San Salvador. One and a half million people voted in the Salvadoran elections on March 28, 1982. Bonner reported a study which found that the vote totals had been grossly inflated. The article did not allege how the fraud has been accomplished, or by whom, but it argued that a fraud must have taken place. Later, Bonner cited additional irregularities in the election process. His pieces were found to have journalistic loopholes.
