ABSTRACT
The article presents developments in world politics as of June 26, 1981. An attempted coup-de-etat was prevented in Dominica; Conservative actor Charlton Heston was appointed by U.S. President Ronald Reagan to head the White House Task Force on the Arts and Humanities. Nuclear physicist Bernard Cohen discloses that it is nearly unlikely that a small nation with nuclear facilities could divert plutonium from its power plants into a military weapons program. The Polish Communist Party's public support is declining.
