Solidarity with Solidarity

November 1981
National Review;11/13/1981, Vol. 33 Issue 22, p1319
The article highlights the evidence provided by the "Freedom Appeals" periodical in New York that dissident groups in China and the Soviet Union know the existence of the anti-communist Solidarity Movement in Poland. In the March-April 1981 issue of "Freedom Appeals," a letter addressed to the Polish workers from Chinese dissidents appeared. Similar messages from dissidents in the Soviet Union appeared in the September-October issue of the periodical.
