ABSTRACT
The article highlights the gathering of Les Maitres Cuisiners de France members for a culinary tour in the U.S. The hosts for the dinner were Craig Claiborne and Pierre Franey. Their idea for the meal was a series of buffets, devoted to a particular group of regional specialties. The group and their ladies were not shy about digging into the food. What impressed them most was the Seafood Bar. It was obvious that none of them had been offered all the oysters he could eat. The menu was equally splendid, with the dishes being described both in English and in French.
