ABSTRACT
The article discusses insights about people who are buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish, South Dakota. The author cites that a stranger named Levi Blizzard who died in a snowstorm in 1876 was the first person to be buried in Rose Hill. In his lifetime, he notes personal acquaintances who have also been interred in the cemetery including teachers, his first two employers, and schoolmates who died young. The article also cites personalities whose graves can be found in Rose Hill such as Daniel Toomey, Robert Evans, and Fayette Cook.
