ABSTRACT
The article presents a study analyzing the perceptions of students belonging to the Science and Technology Cluster courses of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines on the field of Library and Information Science (LIS). A survey was conducted on 376 undergraduate students using a descriptive method of research with questionnaires as a major tool in gathering important data. Conclusion of the study is presented. Also provided are recommendations to improve the image and status of LIS which include focusing on improving services with the use of technology, becoming more active in promoting awareness about LIS, and observing good attitude towards users.
