ABSTRACT
The article presents a study evaluating the collection development policy of the Quezon City Public Library in the Philippines (QCPL). A brief historical overview of the QCPL, founded on August 16, 1948 and maintained by the city government of Metro Manila, is provided. The QCPL has 16 branches throughout the city. The survey, conducted with 370 respondents including an interview with two librarians, indicates the reasons of library users' visit, their purpose of visiting the library, and reasons of their rare use of library materials, among others.
