An assessment of users' needs of the Don Alejandro A. Roces, Sr. Science-Technology High School Library for the purpose of collection development

The article presents an analysis of the users' needs of the Don Alejandro A. Roces, Sr. Science-Technology High School (DARSSTHS) Library in Quezon City, Philippines. The assessment, conducted by a survey consisting 319 students and 14 teachers, reveals the students and teachers use of the library, their information needs, and the DARSSTHS Library Collection. Furthermore, it indicates that the library collection of the school lacks reference materials needed by the students. A Collection Development Policy is developed in order to aid the decision-making for the acquisition of the necessary library materials and equipments. Also included are recommendations for improving DARSSTHS library's collection.
