ABSTRACT
The article reports on the technology multichannel format DTS Neo: X from DTS Inc. It cites that the technology will put left and right front high and front wide channels to existing 5.1 or 7.1 configurations to create a multichannel environment of up to 11.1. It notes that configuration of 11.1 is not new in which it has existed already in multi-speaker layouts. It mentions that Dolby Prologic IIz and Audyssey DSZ support 11.1 channels.
