ABSTRACT
The article reports on the development of tape-to-disk mastering system in Greenpoint, New York City. It mentions that Paul Gold, proprietor of Salt Mastering, has delivered a 1-inch, 2-inch preview deck which is thought to be the only one in existence. According to Gold, the said machine does not record but has two playback heads.
