ABSTRACT
The article outlines the growth and development of the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies from its inception in 1914 as an offered course in the Philippines. It describes the university's curricular offerings in undergraduates and graduate levels including its law and medical librarianship. It then enumerates various activities undertaken by the school being the hose for the Post-Graduate Training Course for Science Information Specialist in Southeast Asia and as a national distributing center for CDS/ISIS software in the country.
