The article looks at the state of dental trade shows around the world. Guidelines have been suggested by the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) for dental manufacturers to determine whether a show is a good use of their time and money. According to DTA director Fred Freedman, there has been a decline in attendance and interest in dental meetings. Shannon McCarthy of the Yankee Dental Congress notes that they plan to include additions to the show floor, such as a Dental Office Design Pavilion and a high-tech playground.
