The article focuses on the increased earnings posted by publicly traded health insurers in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2011. The insurers project cost trends to rise over the course of 2011. It cites the impact on the enactment of new federal rules on how insurers should spend member premium dollars on earnings. Some insurers reported the rise in enrollment among young adults during the period ending.
