ABSTRACT
The article focuses on appeal cases questioning the legality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) that have been filed in the U.S. According to the U.S. Justice Department, a total of 31 federal lawsuits against the ACA have been filed. Much of the litigation over the ACA has centered on the question of whether a person's decision not to buy private insurance is considered an economic activity that can be regulated by the Congress.
