The article focuses on the role of iPad and rebalancing software in helping registered investment advisors (RIAs) gain efficiencies in the U.S. It presents the views of technology consultant Bill Winterberg on the adoption of technologies by financial planners to address inefficiencies in their practices. It cites the June 2010 report of Forrester Research Inc. titled "The U.S. Consumer PC Market in 2015" showing that one third of the country's population will own tablet computers by 2015.
