ABSTRACT
The article talks about the career of the author that can offer information for young financial planners in the U.S. to consider when faced with issues such as discouragements and failures. The author reflects on Dale Carnegie's statement wherein Carnegie identified discouragement and failure as stepping stones to success. He conveys that he had worked for the largest brokerage firm in his city even before he graduated from college. He mentions about an expanding community of younger planners known as NexGen which is part of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) community.
