Rootings and Uprootings

October 1977
National Review;10/14/1977, Vol. 29 Issue 40, p1160
The article comments on the warm welcome received by Vietnamese delegation from the United Nations General Assembly. Vietnamese ambassador, Nguyen Duy Trinh, reciprocated by pledging support for Puerto Rico's struggle for independence. Trinh and his comrades got an even warmer welcome at a rally at Broadway's Beacon Theater, where the peace-loving people of the U.S. gave standing ovations, sang songs, and expressed an enthusiasm undiminished by the recent trickle of anti-Vietnamese slanders circulated by various imperialist followers.
