ABSTRACT
The article comments on the political career of U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Reagan's political career show a pattern that might be described as withdrawal and return. To wit, Reagan has his periods of passivity followed by the re-establishment of mastery. This pattern is clearly evident in his 1979-80 political performance. It is about time that Reagan should end his passivity as president and reclaim the presidency. Economic and political conditions point that the time is now ripe for the return of Reagan.
