Hazelton, Nika
November 1977
National Review;11/11/1977, Vol. 29 Issue 44, p1312
The article presents information on the annual grape harvest festival of Vendimia in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The streets are crowded with the people of the region. There are stalls of every kind on the part of the park reserved for the fair. The good thing about the festival is that it is for the people themselves, not for tourists. Sherry grapes grow in white chalk vineyards on rolling hills not visible from Jerez. Low white sheds crown the hills, under a blue sky. One can choose the wine that one prefers and can afford.
