ABSTRACT
The article discusses about books on politics by writers David Friedman, Madsen Pirie and Peter Braestrup. The recently published books shows the polemical skills which have advanced the libertarian cause in recent years. Friedman's "The Machinery of Freedom: Guide to a Radical Capitalism," presents arguments for anarcho-capitalism and the abolition of virtually all compulsory institutions. "Trial & Error & The Idea of Progress " is a serious and original work of philosophy as well as social commentary. Braestrup's "Big Story" recounts the sad mishandling of the Tet offensive of 1968.
