WITHOUT Seve Ballesteros, where would we all be today? What would be the state of European golf and the interest in the sport around the world were it not for the contribution of the charismatic Spaniard, whose premature death yesterday has saddened so many? There was never a golfer like him and very few — Arnold Palmer was another — whose influence was so widespread, attracting youngsters and women especially among his army of followers. Seve had it all, the looks, the charm, the style and, of course, a remarkable talent.
