The article examines the increasing popularity of the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) debenture program. According to Sean Greene, an associate administrator for investment and senior adviser for innovation at the SBA, there is a private equity firms Intel, FedEx and Costco, receiving early funding from the SBIC program. He added that it was established to help capitalize funds that make investments to small businesses.
