ABSTRACT
The article examines the increasing activity of strategic buyers in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market. A panel at the 40th annual InterGrowth conference of ACG in San Diego, California, stated that there is a surge in strategic activity at all levels of the M&A market, following a rebound in summer 2010. According to Brian McDonagh, managing director and co-head of M&A at Robert W. Baird, strategics are taking advantage of the increased predictability of target earning and the return of better assets to the market.
