ABSTRACT
The article reports on the S1 filing made by Aleris Corporation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for an intended initial public offering. The filing states that the company has a proposed maximum aggregate offering of 100 million U.S. dollars. It is noted that the Aleris Corporation has changed its name from Aleris Holding. Oaktree Capital Management, Apollo Global Management, and Bain Capital's Sankaty Advisors have purchased the aluminum rolled products and extrusions business out of bankruptcy.
