ABSTRACT
The ensemble of experimental data on the 2800 nuclides which have been observed to data are being evaluated, according to their nature, by different methods and by different groups. I shall first try a classification and then focus on the two “horizontal” evaluations in which I am involved: the Atomic Mass Evaluation AME and the NUBASE evaluation. © 2000 American Institute of Physics.

Abstract  The purpose of this work was to measure the lifetime of a neutron generation in an IBR-2 core as a function of its state and the core environment. The main problem was to study the possibility of decreasing the duration of a neutron pulse. Different measurement methods were used....

After a brief summary of the recent achievements of neutrino physics, the concept of neutrino mass scale is clarified. The methods for the determination of the neutrino mass values are summarized and critically compared, in particular in the different and complementary contexts of cosmology,...

The feasibility of the β decay study of 8He with the use of a time projection chamber has been investigated. It is shown that β-delayed neutron emission branches of 8He can be identified by registration of tracks of the recoiling 7Li nuclei. Evidence for neutron emission from a highly...

The beta decays of 8He, 9Li, and 9C are interpreted in terms of shell-model calculations in a p-shell basis. Particular attention is paid to the observed low-energy decays that exhibit large B(GT) values.

This measurement represents the first observation of a non-yrast band in the 186Pb nucleus by employing the Recoil-Decay Tagging (RDT) technique. Previously known yrast levels have been confirmed and the band is extended up to level IÏ€ = (16+).

New level schemes of 99, 101Y and 101, 105Nd are established based on the measurement of prompt γ-rays from the fission of 252Cf at Gammasphere. Triaxial-rotor-plus-particle model calculations and fitting suggest that in the A ≈ 100 neutron-rich nuclei triaxial shape is prevalent in the...
