The total neutron cross section of the nucleus [sup 99]Tc from 3 eV to 150 keV has been measured using the time-of-flight technique at the pulsed white neutron source GELINA. Up to 10 keV a number of 659 resonances have been resolved and analyzed using the R-matrix neutron resonance shape fitting program REFIT. From 10 to 150 keV the average cross section has been analyzed in terms of average level parameters. © 2000 American Institute of Physics.

We present work on the N - N and 7Li systems that is relevant to the international effort to re-evaluate the neutron standard cross sections. The R-matrix analysis of the N - N system also determined the n-p capture cross section for use in BBN modeling of light-element abundances in the early...

GEANIE is the first large-scale Ge detector array used in conjunction with a high-energy neutron spallation source. GEANIE consists of eleven Compton-suppressed planar detectors, nine suppressed and six unsuppressed co-axial detectors. Spallation neutrons are provided by the LANSCE/WNR facility,...

The low-energy, bare-nucleus cross section for 15N(p,α)12C is extracted by means of the Trojan-Horse Method applied to the 2H(15N,α12C)n reaction at E beam = 60MeV. The astrophysical S-factor is compared to the direct data in the same energy region. A nice agreement shows up down to...
