ABSTRACT
The article features the lightRadio portfolio from communications provider Alcatel-Lucent which is designed to streamline site architecture. It notes that the portfolio streamlines the site architecture through the consolidation of key network components at onsite and offsite areas into forms that are less intrusive. It also explores the core component of the portfolio is the lightRadio cube which is comprised of a diplexer, radio, amplifier and passive cooling. The benefits of the portfolio to operational procedures and costs are discussed.
