The article provides insights into the presence of ideology in the everyday life of people. The author believes that thinking shapes an individual's ideologies. He stresses the importance of not allowing an individual's cognitive instincts to rule over his or her thinking. He also mentions the need for the people of faith to be sensitive to ideology's lures and the importance of reasons for ideological identities that make intellectual sense to the people.
