The article reports on light rail projects in Bursa, Turkey and Manila, Philippines which are being equipped with signalling and communications systems under a venture between German suppliers BBR Verkehrstechnik and the Tewet Group. The Bursa light rail project will construct three sections of double-track totalling eight route-kilometer. The Manila project will extend Light Railway Transit 1 to North Avenue, to be completed later in 2011.
