ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the high cost of private health care spending in Canada as compared with medical care. According to a health report, Canada's medical spending remains unchanged since the previous decades unlike the spending on private health, where the cost of drugs are higher than Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries. Moreover, it suggests several measures to reduce pharmaceutical's cost such as the regulation on drug prices and tax subsidy elimination.
