The article reports that a group of experts believe that plans of Canada Health Infoway Inc. for highly centralized electronic health records (EHR) systems within each province of Canada that can be shared nationwide may not be feasible. According to its critics, the inadequate consultation of the plans with the medical community has actually been a key problem in the development of the system. Norman Archer of eBusiness Research Centre warns that massive centralization has almost always fails.
