AML Fetches Topping Offer

The article reports that Microsemi Corp. has offered 2.50 U.S. dollars per share in cash to acquire all of the outstanding shares of AML Communications. Microelectronics provider Anaren has offered 2.15 U.S. dollars to acquire AML for a total value of 22.6 million U.S. dollars. According to James Peterson, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Microsemi, the acquisition of AML would add scale and complementary technology to their product offering.
