ABSTRACT
The article discusses the proposal of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to include additional 30 contaminants for water systems monitoring. It states that the 2011 proposal, which is under the Safe Drinking Water Act, includes monitoring requirements for two viruses and 28 chemical pollutants which could be found in drinking water. Meanwhile, EPA has released its maximum achievable control technology (MACT) standards for boilers and incinerators under the Clean Air Act (CAA).
