ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the attempt of the Thai government to reduce the corporate income tax rate to 18.0% from 30.0%. It says that the said effort will be realized if the government holds authority in the upcoming general elections will attract political assistance for the Democrat coalition. It states that a cut down corporate tax rate will also help improve the competitiveness of the country within the South East Asian region, which can make it an attractive place for business investment.
