ABSTRACT
The article presents the new generation of MPEG standards for digital video and audio data which provide efficient and higher quality application technology. MPEG-B is defining number of coding tools including the Reconfigurable video Coding (RVC) and binary MPEG format for Extensible Markup Language (XML). MPEG-C deals with the implementation of integer-output inverse discrete cosine transforms (DCT). MPEG-U Rich Media User Interface gives standard protocol for user interfaces and widgets.
