ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the impact of the growing international dilemma concerning piracy on maritime patrol aircraft requirements. It mentions that the increasing cases of piracy, particularly in the western Indian Ocean, is exacerbated by the seeming ineptness of the international community to control the situation. The scenario, according to the article, presented anew the importance of maritime aircraft patrol requirements.
