ABSTRACT
The article reports on the issue of providing one million advanced technology or electric vehicles (EV) by 2015 as per the request of U.S. federal government and goal of U.S. President Barack Obama. The Center for Automotive Research panel suggests moves to support EVs by providing lithium ion batteries, current EV power source, and primary multipurpose vehicle. However analyst Oliver Hazimeh believes that EVs could include plug-in hybrids or biofuels for which the target cannot be dismissed.
