ABSTRACT
The article reports that according to the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) the production of natural rubber from member countries will increase 6 percent in the first quarter of 2011. A report by ANRPC predicts the total rubber-producing area in member countries to grow by 494,000 acres this year, as young trees have low yields. It also mentions that Ohio-Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. plans to buy 50-percent stake in Cooper Kenda Tire Manufacturing (Kunshan) Co. Ltd.
