ABSTRACT
The article discusses the proposed 20 percent contribution of the horse sector to responsibility and cost sharing scheme in Wales. It notes that this levy will be paid by horse owners. British Equine Veterinary Association president Chris House projects the levy higher than expected if the government decides to keep the contribution with the addition of registration/collection. He believes that other funding methods need to be investigated as an alternative to livestock sector's levy.
