ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the 2007-2009 crop subsidy in the U.S. wherein its importance varies across the country. It states that the period represents the total volumes paid to producers since 1997, however, the importance of subsidies as a percent of net cash farm income varies by ERS production region. It details payments by type of farm, conservation payments by type of farm, and payments by farm sales class.
