The article offers information on the sales performance and demand in the home appliance industry. According to Stainless Steel Corp. general manager Brad Hite, the increasing price of stainless steel and other raw materials affect the prices of appliances. It also discusses the domestic shipments of appliances by Home Appliance Manufacturers which increased to 4.6 percent in 2010.
