The article reports on the study depicting ways to build an ideal network of professional advisers. It offers strategies on how to leverage relationships with centers of influence and generate referrals from clients and professional groups. It states that one of the biggest mistakes of businesspeople can make is setting up a network of professional advisers only with a view to generating referrals which can be one of the best ways to grow a business if done well. According to the study, the most engaged clients find their adviser as acting a coordinating role across the other professionals with whom they work. It mentions that in order to form effective client network, the first step is to define the needs of the network that will depend on clients and their interests.
