ABSTRACT
The article provides an understanding of flooring emissions in the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Credit 4.3--Low Emitting Materials, Flooring Systems under the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Environmental Engineering and Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. The LEED Rating System incorporates multiple criteria for environmental issues. An understanding of California Section 01350, which governs the practice for the testing of volatile organic emissions, is also important to decoding LEED flooring emissions requirements.
