ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on international contracts as of March 2011. In Australia, UGL Rail announced that it would provide nine GE Evolution locomotives to Rio Tinto, 25 Oscar electric multiple units (EMU) to RailCorp. and 10 C44Aci locomotives and maintenance services on wagons to Freightliner, a total contract 225 million Australian dollars. In China, CNR Changchun acquired a 3 billion yuan contract to provide eight car Type B metro trains for Beijing Line 6. In Romania, Cargo Trans Vagon ordered two diesel locomotives from Siemens Eurorunner.
