Nursing schools to teach new ways to cope with death

The article focuses on the new competencies that will be tested by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing to improve the readiness of graduate nursing students when dealing with death and dying. It states that Health Canada will fund the two-year project which will offer palliative care training in undergraduate nursing programs. It says that the new competencies will cover soft skills such as knowing how to be with suffering and practical skills such as symptom and pain management.
